Converting an image to black and white gives it a dramatic and mysterious feel. I was going to erase this shot but instead I decided to edit it and upload it here. There's nothing special about the composition, as a matter of fact, I did not care about a perfectly composed shot. I just wanted to capture the moment, to enjoy it while it was happening and that's what I did. Enjoy!!! When visiting Boquerón, besides the great food, shops and second to none nightlife you'll find some amazing arquitecture. One example are the houses built on the water. This particular one is the most iconic. Located in the heart of El Poblado is hard to miss and almost impossible not to photograph. I was hoping for great skies but bad weather started to move in so I went for a long exposure to really smooth the water and capture some cloud movement. Enjoy!!! Red and Blue HouseOk, here we go! This is my first attempt at photographing the Milky Way. I'd never attemped this before mainly because it requires to be out late into the night waiting for perfect conditions. And also, it's recommended to be accompanied for security reasons. A group of photographers invited me to go out and hunt the milky way, so I agreed. We agreed to go to Playa El Cocal located in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. The night was sort of cloudy and windy but the clouds were fast moving. The hardest thing for me was to change compositions in complete darkness. In summary, we had a great time and I finally got my first Milky Way shot. Enjoy!!! A First Attempt - The Milky WayResiliency is defined as the power or ability to return to the original form, position, etc., after being bent, compressed, or stretched. This little tree is a great example of that since it's located right in the water next to a 100 foot waterfall. During normal rainfall the water level is low enough for this little fellow to stay safe but I can only image during a heavy downpour. It probably gets bent, stretched, push, pulled and still manages to gives its best after all of that. We should be more resilience and overcome adversity just like this little tree. Enjoy!!! ResilienceThe sun was almost gone, checking out for the day. But its rays were still kissing the scene, giving us a last glimpse of beauty--one last pocket full os sunshine. We have a sunrise and a sunset every day, go out and enjoy them--they're free! Pocketful of Sunshine |
